For the past five years I have been on such an exciting journey – living out and pursuing my lifelong love of Art. I am currently exploring and expressing myself through Batik, a century’s old art form.

In several West African and Asian countries, Batik, a textile dyeing technique, has been a form of art, a craft and in some cultures a tradition -- in Indonesia it is considered the national art form. The ancient art of applying wax and dye to fabrics, ceramic, paper, leather or wood to create unique designs and effects is exhilarating and rewarding.

Each piece I create brings to life new and fascinating discoveries, which in turn, inspires me to continue my personal ‘art-felt’ journey.

I am also a member of the following art organizations: South Bay Art Association of Bellport, Brookhaven Arts & Humanities Council, and the Patchogue Arts Council.
