Oils & Acrylics, Watercolor
Capturing a moment or creating a narrative that makes the viewer pause and reflect on life is my artistic aspiration. I especially enjoy painting allegorical pieces. Some allegorical pieces have dealt the illusion that time is standing still, or our impact on the earth, or human interactions or simply just go for it.
And then there is the beauty of the earth. I do thoroughly enjoy painting flowers, birds and landscapes.
I enjoy using watercolors, oil paints, gold leaf or embroidery. Whatever I am creating it must challenge me as to how best to express my ideas, spark my curiosity and occupy my thoughts.
For thirty years I taught art at St. Peter’s-by-the-Sea Episcopal Day School. I still found time to paint and participate in the art world as I do now. 2000 Wet Paints Studio Group Members Show First Place Mixed Media, 2001 Reeves Read Arboretum One Woman Art Show 1998-1999 Gallery Gallery Port Washington, NY, 1997 Nassau County Museum of Fine Arts Gift Shop
