Holly Black, an accomplished multi-media artist, is currently working with digital photography. For the past ten years, her creative energy, imagination and fine arts training have been channeled into capturing images that reflect the true essence and beauty of her eclectic subject matter. She draws inspiration from the splendor of nature and years of extensive world travel. Holly’s signature images on canvas are developed with deliberate attention to detail, color and the elements of design. Strong organic undertones resonate throughout all of her work.
With a BA in Art Education from SUNY New Paltz and an MFA degree from Adelphi University, she went on to teach Art in grades K-12 and at the college level for thirty-three years. During this time, Holly raised two daughters and built a successful custom jewelry design business. Her work was represented on both the east and west coasts.
Currently an active member of five prominent Long Island art organizations, her prize-winning images have been included in more than 40 multi-media and photography shows. The highlights of her career are being a participating artist at the Long Island Museum in 2016, her five solo photography exhibits, and her well received handmade jewelry.
