Lilian Masten

Long Island artist, Lilian Masten, long known for her traditional watercolors, has begun to incorporate collage and other media into her work. Her use of hand colored and painted papers allows her to abstract and manipulate shapes. Still her mixed media landscapes show a recognizable essence of reality. Her source of inspiration still remains the mountains and the sea.

“My aim is to generate works in which the visual images will help the viewer come with me to that place, moment in time, or emotion as I experienced it.”

She gives a truly unique and personalized viewpoint to the landscape.
