Closing Weekend for Seasons of Meadow Croft

Women Sharing Art members Tove Hasselriis Abrams, Pauline Chiarelli and Sue Miller have photographs on display that are part of Islip Art Council’s exhibit “Seasons of Meadow Croft”. Sponsored by the Robert David Lion Gardiner Foundation, artwork is displayed amongst the various rooms of this historical estate. Also, on the grounds is a wonderful vineyard –
Meadow Croft is a rare example of South Shore summer house architecture prior to the turn of the 19th century. The summer estate of John Ellis Roosevelt and his family, Meadow Croft consists of a 19th century farmhouse and a magnificent 1891 addition designed by Isaac H. Green, Jr. of Sayville. Additional structures are a carriage house, an auto house, a caretaker’s cottage, and a swimming pool.
The exhibit will be open from October 16 to October 31, 2021 on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 4 pm. Meadow Croft Estate and Winery is located at 299 Middle Road, Sayville, NY. Admission is free and donations are accepted.
