Mercy Has a Thousand Hearts Mosaic

Women Sharing Art Inc. and Mercy Center Ministries Inc. are proud to announce the unveiling of the  “Mercy Has a Thousand Hearts Mosaic Mural” on December 17, 2019 at 2 pm at Mercy House, 5 Sejon Drive, Sayville, NY.

Women Sharing Art members and mosaic artists, Gabriella Grama and Linda Purrazzella wrote a grant and designed and built the mural with the help of many volunteers.  See the facebook page, Mercy Has a Thousand Hearts Mosaic Mural, for additional information.

“I think what makes the mosaic so special, is the fact that the hearts were each and all made by community members, staff and residents of Mercy House” said Briana Taylor, Director of Mercy Center Ministries.

This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Huntington Arts Council.

Mercy Center Ministries Inc. is a not-for-profit agency operating three shelters for girls and young women in crisis.  The shelters offer a place to heal while providing guidance for learning crucial independent living and parent skills.
